Overview
The United Medical Center, a 450-bed full service hospital, has served the Southeast area of Washington, DC for the last forty years. BKM has been involved in providing a comprehensive system evaluation and master plan for the facility since the fall of 2007. The master plan has resulted in significant infrastructure upgrades that include a new chiller, boiler, and emergency generator. In addition there have been design projects that include renovations of the existing operating rooms, radiology department (MRI, CT scan, Angiography, and Gamma Camera Suites), skilled nursing, psychiatric, and long-term care areas.
