Overview
The renovation to the Elmer A. Henderson School, which is the first building project for East Baltimore Development Inc. (EBDI), will include education space for an incubator school, community meeting and activity space, offices for incubation of neighborhood based businesses, and offices for EBDI. The 71,000 SF facility will be transformed from an antiquated 50's era elementary school into an environmentally sound, resource efficient primary school and supportive resource center for this blighted area of Baltimore City. EBDI requests a LEED Silver or better certified facility that may include a green roof, PV panels, water-conserving plumbing systems, energy efficient HVAC systems and renewable interior finishes.
