“Burdette, Koehler, Murphy & Associates, Inc. (BKM) was founded on April 1, 1968 amid a storm of racial unrest in Baltimore City. It saddens us to see that it has been 52 years since that time and now the children and grandchildren of those original protesters continue to fight against the systemic racism that has historically oppressed the Black community. As an engineering firm, we have discussed the positive impact we can have on our community and clients.

BKM stands with those seeking justice for Black lives and we are committed to diversity and inclusion. To that end, we are committing ourselves to furthering minorities and people of color in our company and community. Our equity committee is devising several initiatives to promote more inclusion in the workplace and in our charitable efforts. As corporate citizens, we cannot stand by silently. Actions speak louder than words, and this is just the start of our efforts.”
